Turn 6-inch square tiles into removable pottery bats with this 3D-printed TileDock from Nerdworks Collective.
Designed to fit over the bat pins of a standard pottery wheel, the TileDock securely holds a 6" square ceramic tile so you can work directly on the removable tile. When you're finished, simply lift out the tile and replace it with another—no need for a large collection of full-size pottery bats.
IMPORTANT — TILE IS NOT INCLUDED
This listing is for the 3D-printed TileDock only. You will need to purchase your own compatible 6" square ceramic tiles.
The TileDock is designed around the Daltile Restore Bright White 6" × 6" Ceramic Wall Tile commonly sold at Home Depot and Lowe’s.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR TILE VERSION BEFORE ORDERING
The dimensions of these commonly available 6" × 6" tiles have changed. Although both the older and current tiles are sold as 6" × 6", the current version is slightly larger in overall width and will not fit the original TileDock.
Choose from:
STANDARD — Current Tiles Choose Standard if you are purchasing the current version of the Daltile 6" × 6" tile. This is the version most customers purchasing new tiles will need.
LEGACY — Older Tiles Choose Legacy if you already have older 6" × 6" tiles from before the size change. The Legacy TileDock is designed to fit the smaller, older version of the tile.

WHY USE A TILE BAT SYSTEM?
A tile bat system gives you a compact, convenient removable throwing surface. Instead of removing your piece directly from the wheel, lift the entire tile from the TileDock with your work still in place and set it aside.
It's especially useful when throwing multiple smaller pieces and takes up much less storage space than a collection of full-size pottery bats.
HOW IT WORKS
Place the TileDock over the bat pins on your pottery wheel. Seat a compatible 6" square tile securely inside the TileDock. Throw directly on the tile. When finished, lift out the tile with your work still in place. (a flathead screwdriver is handy for this) Insert another tile and keep throwing.
COMPATIBILITY
Designed for compatible 6" square ceramic tiles and a standard pottery-wheel bat-pin setup.
Because nominally sized 6" tiles can vary in their actual dimensions, fit with other brands or styles of 6" tile cannot be guaranteed. Please compare your tile with the Tile Size Comparison graphic before ordering.
Tiles are sold separately and are not included.

This is a physical 3D-printed pottery tool. Layer lines and minor surface variations are normal characteristics of the 3D-printing process and are not considered defects.
